Comments from Invitation to LAM 11/10/04

The purpose of talking to LAM was two-fold:  a)  To express the need for managers/department heads to understand that "at the core, employees want to know how they are doing, what they need to do to be successful, and that their contributions are recognized and valued"; b)  Looking for input on what tools managers need in order to help create a "culture of appreciation"

Everyone was given a packet of information with the following:

Comments from two "on-the-spot" open forums (on the PRAG home page)

Discussion reaffirmed that an "on-the-spot" recognition program is doable and encouraged by LAM members.  It is the hope of the Performance Recognition Advisory Group that such a program will be in place and ready to implement early (January/February) 2005.
