This team had so much fun that one might underestimate the amount of work it achieved.  The original time estimate for its work was 45 hours over six months.  The chair cannot be blamed for the under-estimate.  Who could have guessed how many ideas would spring from the minds of these bright and energetic team members?    Week after week, they stretched their goals. Each team member lept forward time aft time to take responsibility for major aspects of the work.   Why do a  single training day when they could do three?  Why rely on one expert when they could tap regional and campus contributors?  Why pretend that the majority of attendees were there just to learn when we could all learn from each other?   And why should we set aside time merely to study new technology when so many of us still yearn to learn about each other. 

This award honors the library employees who teamed up with Lou Wetherbee to organize the 2006 May Institute -  The May Institute Planning Team --
