This individual’s friendly demeanor is no act. From her first review to her current position, she has been praised for her exceptional commitment to service and her ability to put people at ease. Since joining the UL in 1997, she has steadily expanded her knowledge and has developed new skills to adapt to changing library needs. In a year of staff shortages, she has gracefully accepted any project or problem which came her way and addressed it in a complete and professional manner. While other skilled techies might assist in the “review of data driven web design,” training others in using the GUI client, or contribute to a campus review of course software, only one individual has been singled out this year the “glue that holds the Systems department together” — a pleasant and professional problem solver — Mandy Havert..
