Bill Sill
Employee Recognition Winner 2000

This individual was nominated by numerous people–all of whom seemed drawn to exotic and colorful phrases. A review of the phrases suggest that this nominee is quite an extraordinary package. The person is described as:
someone whose "joy is in quietly, faithfully, providing service"
some who is "extremely flexible in all capacities"
someone who "does not trumpet his encyclopedic knowledge"
someone who is "almost scary".

During the summer of 1999, this person began researching and implementing a new server for the delivery of PC/Window-based CD-ROM products to other computer operating systems on campus. As a result of his work, the Metaframe server now extends service for those products to both Unix and MacIntosh users. He has participated in beta testing both versions 1 and 2 of NT@ND and led in identifying the remedy for the FunLove virus. By now you all must know the name of this talented techie. For his amazing insights, creativity, and assistance, we honor – Bill Sill.
