SAC March 2005 Meeting Minutes

We have a lot of new members due to the elections that were held last month. Districts 5 (Laundry) and 29 (Health Services) still have no one to represent them, so if anyone knows someone in those departments who would
like to be on the SAC committee you may want to pass that information on to them.  SAC will be sending out a letter to those districts to let them know of the situation.

I gave an update for the Ad-Hoc Women's Committee. We have had a really good response to this month lunch n learn. I asked if anyone had any suggestions as to what they would like to see or hear about in the future
if they could please let me know. If any of you have any suggestions I will take those to next months Ad-Hoc meeting also.

One of our new representatives works at the Robinson Learning Center on Eddy. She wanted to remind everyone about the Surplus store for  ND employees. The are receiving new items everyday, and it is not just office
equipment, she was able to buy a 3 piece sectional in good condition for $100.00. The hours are Monday by appointment only, and Wednesday is for departments those hours are 11:30-3:00 and Thursday is for all ND employees (must have your ID 11:30-3:00). There is a web site for them (www.buy.nd.edu) so please check that out first before go, it may not be up to date since they get new things everyday but there is a lot of information that may be good to know before you go . And with that information comes the announcement that the Morris Inn will be under going a renovation very soon and it will include new windows, new roof and the 92 rooms of furniture will be going to the Procurement Center, I will keep you updated when exactly that will be.
I do believe that is it, our next meeting is April 14th. Any questions or concerns will be taken to the next meeting.
