ALEPH-ANNOUNCE-L
This list is intended as a vehicle for the posting of general announcements
concerning MALC's ALEPH 500 system. Postings are carried out by sending
a message to any of the List Editors below. This list is intended to
have a low level of traffic, but to distribute high level importance
items about MALC's management of the Aleph system to MALC staff. Postings
will be limited to _Aleph-related announcements_ of general or very
wide interest, e.g., "the system will be down for emergency maintenance
tonight", etc. All MALC staff should be subscribed to this announcement-oriented
list.
ALEPH-18-DISCUSS-L
This list is intended as a forum for discussion of ALEPH 18 issues
as they pertain to the MALC institutions. MALC staff should use this
list for problem reporting and resolution, tips-'n-tricks, or any other
constructive purpose relating to ALEPH as it is implemented in MALC.
MALC staff, especially those who use Aleph 18 on a regular basis,
must join this list as a prerequisite to getting the Aleph 18 client
installed on their workstation.

also used as a reporting channel for Aleph problems when they go beyond
initial report and troubleshooting of Aleph, SFX, and Metalib related
problems on the other lists. Also used as a communication vehicle for
Ex Libris support staff to update Library Systems on Aleph technical
support issues.

This is an announcements only list, primarily intended for faculty &
grad students in the college of engineering. It is low-volume, and includes
approval & new book lists, messages for faculty or grad students & general
library announcements.

Information about Libraries' electronic database additions and changes,
search interface questions and issues, suggestions for new products,
descriptions, arrangements.

Intended for use by the university staff that have administrative access to
the library's electronic reserves system (OSCR).

This list is for the discussion of library issues, especially those
with relevancy to the University Libraries of Notre Dame and its employees.
This list is not intended for announcements or for very specific inquiries;
rather, the list is meant as a forum for the discussion of broader issues

only to faculty and staff of the University Libraries of Notre Dame.
