All Supervisors
Supervisors at all levels should know:

gold arrow The basic steps of Library recruiting, and basic information on interviewing
gold arrow What records are needed, routing routines, key time factors and forms
gold arrow Who to contact in HR for more details or to discuss special circumstances
gold arrow The common practices in their units

All Department Heads
Department Heads show know:
gold arrow All of the information from above
gold arrow The department’s history and reasons for additional policy guidelines
gold arrow When it is or isn’t appropriate to institute or modify local practice
gold arrow When to inform the AD about unusual needs or situations which may require more discussion and analysis

The 221 HR Assistant
The 221 HR Assistant should know:
gold arrow Where information is listed on the HR page
gold arrow Designated contacts in HR for the procedures
gold arrow Requirements/routing for completing and submitting forms
gold arrow The basic steps of Library recruiting, and basic information on interviewing

The HR Specialistt
The HR Specialist in central HR should know:
gold arrow The details of each policy
gold arrow Legal aspect of each policy
gold arrow Campus interpretations
gold arrow The alert others to policy updates and provide periodic training

The Organizational Development Librarian
The Organizational Development Librarian is responsible for:
gold arrow Tracking Library interpretations of policies
gold arrow Alerting HR to policy-related concerns
gold arrow Ensuring appropriate consultation with HR, the Provost’s Office, or the Office of the University Council on issues of possible legal importance.
