DUTIES: The primary duty of the person filling this position is the supplying of articles to other libraries via Ariel and Odyssey. Most article requests come in via RapidILL or OCLC, and the U. of Notre Dame has a commitment to fill article requests for our Rapid partners within 24 hours. The person in this position is also responsible for backing up other staff members, particularly in the area of document delivery and the lending of books to other libraries. He/she may also have other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma required; college degree preferred. Two years library experience with some exposure to and understanding of OCLC records required. Interpersonal skills to interact and communicate in a friendly, team-oriented manner with our library staff and faculty as well as with personnel at other libraries around the world. Computer expertise to properly utilize the tools of the job: ILLiad, Ariel, and Odyssey, as well as the ability to adapt to changing technologies. SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. 40 hours / 12 months
