Minutes of the Jan. 25, 2006 TERMinators meeting

There were two items on the agenda.

Review of 'Help' and 'Services' facets
Review of DDW Documentation

1. The group compared the earlier selected terms to go under facets 'Help' and 'Services' with the resources that reside on the Libraries' Web Site located on the left-hand side of the page under 'Getting Help', 'Library Services', and 'Inside ND Libraries'.

A suggestion was made to add 'Library Departments' to the initial selection of terms under 'Getting Help' or 'Library Services'; however, after a brief discussion the group decided that such term most likely would not be something that people are interested in having access to through the University Portal.

The following list of terms under 'Help' and 'Services' facets was approved as final. In the future, if anything needs to be changed/added, it could easily be done.

2. The group briefly reviewed the existing DDW documentation. Tom explained that the documentation was written for people who 1) make selections for DDW subject pages; 2) make changes to catalog records and code them for DDW.

Instead of taking time at the meeting to review the documentation in depth, Tom asked that the everyone takes time to review the documents individually and send comments to the list. Finally, there appears to be no additional items to work on for TERMinators at this time. With that in mind, Tom will call the next meeting in late March where the future direction for the group will be decided.
